Were in the middle of an escrow for our first house. While moving in a get a little concerned when were not there as it is not the best neighbor hood. I plan to put security screen doors on as a deodorant as well as 3 security cams. I want a decent though double cylinder deadlock. Sadly I cant afford a ton, but understand it will cost some. Hi, im looking to see if there are possible replacement from other vehicles or universal option to replace this part. This is from a 1985 toyota and has been discontinued for years. it's the read tailgate lock cylinder. You have to push the center in which pushes a plunder out the back and that pushes on the attached mechanism. Moving into a place with two kwikset smart locks. I have reprogammed the codes for entering, and I have one key. I understand that it's best to rekey locks, just in case someone has a previous copy, regardless of whether the sellers are trustworthy. The locks do not have the little smart key slot (how I wish they did!). Am I going to have to buy a whole new lock for each of the doors? Is it possible to buy and swap out only the cylinder? Hi there, my boss likes the CX5 SFIC cylinders, however we use a Dorex Deadbolt that he wants it inside of. When I took a look at them, they used the Deadbolt Cylinder tailpiece that came with the Deadbolt, Perfect size tailpiece obviously. I am pinning the SFIC Cylinders. When I place the cx5 cyl into the deadbolt the key gets stuck in the cylinder when removing, unless you get a good grip and make the cylinder not move, which is usually dead to overtightening or undertightening the cylinder cap?
