Not perfect circles, but rather more egg-like, these two small circles of desks are good for students moving into groups. You could use this seating arrangement to your advantage by having students get into different groups throughout the lesson or day and switch seats. It certainly would keep the students awake!

One large square shape with a couple of back row seats completes this example. This would be great for public speaking presentations where the students would have to present in the middle of the square. Another idea would be an opportunity for open discussion so that the students would be able to face one another for proper discussion etiquette.

Smaller rows of desks are linear in this option. Passing out papers becomes a snap if you hand out the stack to the student at the end of each row to pass down. Same for handing in work, but in the opposite direction.
