I have this question on a job application, and I don't know how to answer it: If you are teaching a class with several students, and one student doesn't understand a grammar concept, what would you do?
I would appreciate any advice. Most all of my teaching experience has been one on one, and I have ideas of what I'd do, but I don't know what the proper thing to do is. :/

My mom has been teaching Spanish online for a while. She loves it.
But she kept complaining about how time-consuming (and boring) it is to schedule classes and keep track of payments.
All existing solutions were bad, old, and expensive.
So I build Waterlesson to help her out.
Now she spends all that time reading, writing, and sunbathing. And funny enough, gets more classes booked.
You can use it too at waterlesson.com.
PS: The first 5 user get 100% off :)

Pretty much all of the international schools in Singapore hire ESL teachers to support their ESL students. This league table video shows just how competitive the international school scene is in Singapore, so it goes without saying that only the most highly qualified and experienced TEFL/ESL teachers tend to get hired in these schools.

Hi there.
I am conducting research, which will include a poll and interviews, as part of a learning process to design and build an improved Interactive White Board(IWB) for use in classrooms. This IWB will be designed to improve upon current systems and address common user complaints about them. This is entirely a learning experience for a university course, and no actual physical product will be developed or built. As a current teacher or student, you are an important possible user of any such device, and your experience in the classroom puts you in an ideal position to provide valuable info ..read more

I'm researching possible online English Teaching positions, and a company called Repetry popped up on my Google Search. I haven't been able to find out much review information about this company, only the general information it gives on its page. What I want to know is: how long are the classes? Is their an age preference that teacher's can teach, like only adult students, etc., Do they have international students or are they mainly from China, etc.? Any information about this platform would be great. Thanks so much for your time ? Happy learning ?

Hello! I got my TEFL certificate in January, and for the past 1.5 years I have been private tutoring and teaching english to children between the ages of 3 and 12. I also tutor a university business student which I liked better than I thought I would! I realized I actually like tutoring / teaching adults as well as children.
I live in Belgium and I honestly can't stand this weather anymore. I also have a dream of learning spanish. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations to schools / programs where I can teach abroad in a spanish speaking country (not europe). Preferably near the wat ..read more

Hi all,
I'm looking for book recommendations, fiction or non-fiction. My student has very advanced vocabulary but doesn't want to read books that use over-complicated words or words that aren't really used much in daily life. She wants to practice using her passive vocabulary more. We started reading To Kill A Mockingbird and realised the language wasn't useful.
Any recommendations? She just doesn't like sci-fi, but otherwise is open to anything really.
Thanks! :)

Hello struggling TEFL teachers,
I am a born and resident in a country in North Africa. I want to enroll and become an ESL Teacher with TEFL. And since acquiring a VISA is almost impossible in my case. Is enrolling in an online TEFL course the same as the non-online one? And how can I be reassured to enroll in an accredited online TEFL course? When one searches for that online, the bombardment of different websites offering the best deals makes one question the validity and credibility of such online certifications.
Thank you and all the best.

Hi! I have really been thinking about teaching abroad in Spain. I will definitely get my TEFL certification because I see online a lot that it is useful to have. I also have a bachelors degree and a little bit experience in daycare/teaching. I know a good amount of Spanish. I just want honest opinions on whether it is worth it. I know that its not the greatest pay but I really do want to teach and experience the culture.
If you have taught english abroad in Spain or anywhere else please tell me your experience!!
