Nobody asked, but I picked up cycling recently…
It all began when I won a foldable bicycle at our company’s Christmas year-end party last year (yay!).
Since then, I’ve been hitting the pavement, finding it more accessible than going to the gym, and enjoying the freedom cycling provides.
Recently, I had the pleasure of speaking with Jeshua Soh, an avid cyclist passionate about giving back.
Jeshua shared with me his ambitious plan to raise $100,000 for a good cause by cycling from Singapore to Bangkok, all on a $150 secondhand bicycle from Carousell.
I kid you not. The journey is about 2,00 ..read more

Have you ever forgotten to use a certain credit card for purchases?
Because I have.
You might think that working in Seedly means I will remember what credit card to use for all my purchases, but I’m still a human and have blunders.
Not to forget, imagine having to leave the queue because you had to reopen the terms of conditions and check the Merchant Category Code (MCC) just to make sure you’re clocking your miles, cashback, or rewards points right.
I dare say that most people don’t even know where the latest deals are. They, too, sometimes forget which card to use and, therefore, cannot maxi ..read more

When it comes to investing, I think most of us are in it to maximise our profits, regardless of the amount invested or the time frame we have for investing. These profits come in the form of portfolio returns after fees, so it would make sense to keep your fees as low as possible so you can keep significantly more of your portfolio’s return.

Sure, there’s a case for having your portfolio managed professionally with the right financial advisor or Robo-advisor worth the fees.
But for most of us who are embarking on the do-it-yourself (DIY) path to investing, finding the broker ..read more
