Our bride’s brother was a student of mine when I taught photography at the Corcoran College of Art and Design.  From his first assignment, I wasn’t sure how well he was going to do but after that he rocketed to the top of the class and went on to assist me at our weddings and intern at my old paper (and is becoming an accomplished filmmaker).  So it was a huge honor to get the call that his sister was getting married in Dallas and that they wanted me to fly down to photograph it. Gussie + Greg had to push their wedding date back a year due to the pandemic. They got married in their hometown of Buck Hill Falls, PA in the Poconos. Driving up, I had never heard of the town but driving into it, I can’t believe I’ve never heard of it. You pass under a stone bridge and you are just transported into another place and time. In the 20ish years of photographing weddings, Rebecca + Erin’s wedding stands out like no other.
