Some experiences can't be photographed. I have traveled extensively in the last 18 years and even though I have boxes of old photographs and hard drives full of new memories, sometimes experiences cannot be photographed and photographs cannot capture a moment as it was lived. I was asked to submit 5/6 of my best photographs of my career for a project that I am being considered for, about a week ago.  It was a tough call as I have so many favorite photographs. Photography Workshop in Gimhae, South Korea In January and February this year I did photography workshops with a group of 10 year old Korean student photographers. With my guidance they explored the art elements, lines, textures, shapes, forms and colors in their immediate surroundings with photography. They live in one of the poorest communities in Delft of the Cape Flats. Only 30 km from the beautiful and cosmopolitan city of Cape Town. This is a forgotten community that are kept hostage by their unfortunate circumstances. They are subjected to violent crimes, rape and robberies everyday.
