Agents 007 are on the move again. This time their mission is to explore the nooks and crannies of a lesser known neighborhood in Seongsu-Dong. Have you ever heard of this place? Global Seoul Mates Team B had an amazing experience with the Seoul Discovery Pass. This is a special tourist card which you can use to visit Seoul’s major tourist attractions within 24 hours. These attractions include the five historic palaces, national museums, the N Seoul Tower and more. Our team decided to explore Insadong’s famous Kimchi Gan Museum.  This museum is dedicated to the history of Kimchi in Korea. Seoullo 7017, the high way fly over- turned green park and walk way was inaugurated last month in Seoul. It was an interesting experience being there. So many people both locals and foreigners were curious about it and everyone came to see what it was all about. The first ever Halal Restaurant Week has just started in Korea and it’s a huge event for all the restaurants in Korea who serve Halal food.  Starting from 1st of November, this event allows Muslim visitors in Korea to enjoy traditional Korean cuisine and also variety of different international cuisines from 95 different restaurants for special prices and offers.  The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) who is working behind this project has issued a Halal Restaurant coupon book, which lists all the restaurants everywhere in Korea under several categories.  Some of t ..read more

The 2016 World Hansik Festival was inaugurated last week at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Seoul. I was present at the opening ceremony as a reporter from the Korea Food Foundation (KKF) with my team Sam Sam Hajo.
