Played our first game tonight of Slay the Spire and it was a lot of fun and it honestly surprised me. I was a little concerned that the game wouldn’t translate well to the table, but the co-op element is fantastic and retains the feel of the video game and what makes it so wonderful.
The dice element where a single die roll will dictate not only enemy actions to come, but also relics and other abilities is awesome. It’s simple and really clever.
I’m looking forward to getting this to the table again, and making our way through the ascension levels.

I had a game in the mid 2000s that could be played with a deck of cards or two dice. You could buy your favorite MLB team and get clings of each player and it was basically to teach you how to score a baseball game. Does anyone know what it’s called?

I just bought Catan at US and will be traveling internationally back home. I am between having it in my checked bag or taking it with me as my carry on bag. Has anyone done this or has experience with Catan? I am scared it gets lost or stolen, as this version is not sold in my country. Game is still wrapped new, I will be traveling with Delta in case that helps.
Thank you!

A couple days ago, it had been a few months since I bought a game. I was curious to see what my local game store had new or used on consignment. I try to support local when I can. I stepped in and instantly there was a wave of body odor. There was some event going on. It wasn't packed, but probably half the tables were full. I thought I could bear it for enough, but I could not. Is this normal? Like how does anyone work there or spend time there? I almost certainly would have bought something off my list, but I had to leave less than a minute after entering.
I'm sort of venting, but I'd also ..read more

Preferably a game that has a solo variant.
Or are you satisfied with your MoM purchase?

I’m working on building a board game table and looking for a foam padding that will go underneath speed cloth. I’m not sure if I’m over thinking this or doing too much research but there seems to be endless types of foam and I’ve been to two different fabric stores but neither had great options and it seems everybody has different names for their foam. So for those who have used speed cloth before, which foam (and I’d like specifics on where to get it) did you use?

I've been playing it a lot with my little brother recently. I asked the Epic subreddit and they said that ppl still play online but not so much in person but the sub is like 1k ppl total so I'm asking a larger audience.
Also I do know that MtG exists but I like Epic better

Hi there,
I recently received my copy of the HoMM3 boardgame, but I came across a card I don't understand and could not find info in the rules.
A hero has a speciality and receives 3 cards, to be used depending on his level. The card attached is the speciality card of Tower hero Solmyr at its second stage. His speciality is Chain Lightning, which is a spell that deals a certain amount of damage to 3 creatures.
The first level is slightly worse than the normal spell card, but its a spell, dealing 1/1/0 damage to the 3 selected creatures (instead of 1/1/1), so definatly fits the Chain Lightning ..read more
