Until recently, expecting families on the Dallas side of town have not had a lot of options if they wanted to chose hospital based midwifery care. For years, the biggest and busiest hospitals in Dallas, Plano, Frisco and Richardson had NO midwives on staff or with privileges to deliver babies in their facilities.
