MEMBERS VOTE TO CONTINUE EBMA
At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the European Bluegrass Music Association on October 25, 2023, the members voted for the association to continue and the Board of Directors stood down. The outgoing Board had announced in January that they would recommend dissolving the Association. In response a small team asked for a delay in order to prepare and present a project1 for the association to continue. The project was put to a vote during the AGM and the motion was carried.

It was during Adiaha’s Bluegrass Camp 2019: On the night of Friday, October 4th, Mary Lucey-Cardine and Billy Cardine (50% of the band “Lover’s Leap” https://loversleapband.com/ ) had given a haunting concert of which we have added two pieces at the beginning and the end of the video clip. In the middle you’ll find the interview they gave us next morning.
We had seen Lover’s Leap 2 months before in La Roche and were remembering the goose bumps we had gotten, during their concert (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gX2nl13UUmg) and were very happy that they took the time in Aschau to give us this ..read more

A message from the Organisers
Dear Friends and Bluegrass lovers
The biggest festival dedicated exclusively to Bluegrass music in Europe will not take place this year.Nor will the camp and workshop in the week before.
The health of everyone, artists, volunteers and you, our festival visitors, is of primary importance for us, before any other consideration.
This has been the main factor in the difficult decision of the organising committee, in agreement with the Town Council of La Roche-sur-Foron, to cancel.
We must consider all the first line responders and health workers who have already give ..read more

We all know the serious impact and the depth of concern across Europe caused by COVID-19. As it continues to increase, nothing is really sure about the weeks and months ahead. It could be that even after COVID19 has peaked and started to reduce, events will still be in doubt until we, the public, feel safe and secure.
To all the bluegrass community and their families EBMA wishes that you to keep safe and follow the instructions and guideline ..read more
