Got a chance to go to Clarksdale and see Juke Joint Festival last weekend. It was a truly magical experience punctuated by incredible music and wonderful people. Pro Tip: Camp in town if you go. You will meet awesome people.
The trip included great performances from tons of amazing artists, including Lil G (Guitar Gem, who was 12?!?) Cash’s Juke Joint, Garry and Duwayne Burnside, Robert Kimbrough Sr., Lightnin Malcolm, Layla Musselwhite (including seeing her perform with her father, the legendary Charlie Musselwhite!)
