How do you protect your pencil tips from breaking? I have tried to cap mine with ballpoint caps, one-way plastic eyedroppers, corona-test ampules and chunks of plastic hoses. I love pencils. I love pencils so much I'm on my way to stop using pens entirely! However, there are some instances in which an indelible writing is necessary for social reasons (signing documents etc). Does anyone know a good (and i mostly mean good looking) copying pencil? I need something that not only looks good, but also somewhat looks like a pen, so that i don't get any annoying comments. My first Blackwings! Bought these earlier today at Eckersley's for around 6 Australian dollars each to add to my pencil collection after hearing all the buzz about them. The 602 has a beautiful grey finish, which was probably only achievable through several coats of paint, "Blackwing 602" stamped on one side of its hexagonal barrel, and its promising slogan on the other - "Half the pressure, twice the speed." I’ve been carrying a Sketchwallet and have been using a minuscule Zebra mechanical pencil but have been itching to use up some of my Blackwings. I want it to be “pocket proof” so I’m looking at an extender that can both extend and protect the pencil from breaking. I’ve seen a couple of vintage advertisement bullets-style pencils as well as the black wing point protector. I’m curious what anyone else uses or what they prefer?
