I have a new publication to share! For those of you into Lacan, perversion, science fiction, and wrapping your head around clinical transphobia, this might be the article for you. One of the coolest parts of this piece, for me, was engaging with an original drawing done by a trans person in psychoanalysis in 1948. The image was preserved in a psychiatric case study. We have always existed, and although not always found in official record, traces of trans life persist. I hope I did them justice! ***** Do Psychoanalysts Dream of Polymorphous Sleep?: Clinical Desiring With Transgender Subjects ..read more

T4T Research: Trans Community-based Intersectional, Relational and Decolonial Approaches Academic research about transgender people has traditionally been a cisgender inquiry into the origins of gender variance, or put another way, a repeated exploration of the question "why trans" (Hansbury, 2017) or "what made you trans?" The emergence of Transgender Studies has worked to dismantle these narrow conventions and expand the very notion of legitimate research with, about, or considering Two Spirit, trans, non-binary, and gender nonconforming (2STNBGN) people. “T4T”, meaning “trans for ..read more
