Over the past few years I’ve been introduced to or have had the joy of working with a few small businesses that I absolutely love. As we start Cyber Week and with Small Business Saturday quickly approaching, I wanted to share a few small businesses to consider shopping this holiday season. From fun accessories to art I have had on my walls for years, there’s quite a variety in here. Did I mention they’re all owned by amazing women?!
If you’re looking for something unique to gift this holiday season, look no further than the ideas below. Some items you may recognize from previous gift guide ..read more

"Big ticket" means something different to everyone, so this gift guide includes items that are more than $100 and thus quite a range of price points beyond that. However, they're all items that I think a 20-something could get frequent use out of, which you likely already know is my favorite type of gift to give or receive. This is another gift guide I hope will help if you're on the hunt for a perfect gift for someone in this age range or need some ideas on what to ask for yourself.
Several of these items I own myself — either from being gifted by someone or purchasing after big personal mil ..read more

Happy November! The season between mid-October and Christmas is my favorite time of year. I enjoy fall, and then the transition to the holidays is always so joyful.
For me, the start of November marks the time when I like to start prepping for Christmas. This includes planning what I would like to get my family and friends, and I always look forward to seeing gift guides to help me find the perfect items.
This year, I’m looking forward to sharing a few gift guides I planned. If you are looking for inspiration too, I hope they will be helpful! I've had so much fun putting them toge ..read more

One of my favorite things to do on an open weekend or evening is go to see a show on Broadway. Since moving to New York City last September, I’ve been able to see nine shows and have only paid full price for two tickets. I’m thrilled I’ve been able to figure out ways to find affordable tickets so I can go see shows somewhat often — it’s become something I absolutely love about living in the city!
Whenever I post that I’m seeing a show or won the ticket lottery, I always get a few questions on how it works or a comment about how I’ve been able to see so many shows. I admit I have had more lu ..read more

We've had some sunny days here in NYC this week, and it has me itching for spring! After spending spring in the South the past four years, I've been ready for warmer weather since February began. I am eager to pull out my dresses and spring clothes ASAP!
That's not quite realistic with the temperatures still around 40 and 50 degrees at the high, but I've been opting toward picking my most colorful and warm pieces to wear each day. A bright color makes it feel like spring is on the way, but a sweater still provides warmth and comfort when the chill kicks in. After looking at my closet at the ..read more

A little while ago, I was catching up with my friend Elise, who is a current senior at Alabama. We were talking about it already being spring semester. I'm so excited for her and all the seniors this year! Time has flown since graduation, but I remember this time last year so well: having fun with friends, navigating plans for after college and soaking up the final semester of classes. Such a fun and memorable time!
We also chatted about graduation itself and finding a dress. I purchased my graduation dress during the Lilly Pulitzer sale in January last year, but remember many of my friends ..read more

Are you doing anything fun for Galentine's Day next weekend? Whether it's a fun pizza and wine night in or a brunch in PJs, there are so many fun ways to celebrate friendships around Valentine's Day (see here for a full list of ideas I put together last year!).
If you're looking to do something a little extra for your friends (or maybe missed a gift in the chaos of Christmas - I know I still have a few gifts to give), Galentine's is the perfect excuse. There are lots of great, affordable gifts $20 and under that would be thoughtful if you're in the gifting spirit this year.
Whether you ..read more

Happy February! You may have picked up on my Instagram stories over the past few weeks that I love the Valentine's Day season and any excuse to pull out all my pink.
I came back to NYC on Sunday after a wonderful (and long!) trip home. After unpacking and putting away my Christmas decor, I was eager to pull out my Valentine's Day pieces. It's tricky decorating in a small space, so banners, wreaths and dish towels have been a few of my favorite ways to add a little holiday joy to my spaces.
Since it’s the first week of the month and only two weeks until Valentine's, I've rounded up a ..read more

Who else has been in a cleaning and organizing mindset in the new year?! While the month of January is usually pretty gray and cold, I love that it provides an excuse to stay indoors, organize and reset.
Since moving to New York and working with limited space, organization has become even more crucial in my life than it has in the past. I enjoy looking for new ways to simplify and use spaces strategically. I wanted to share a few ways to organize in case you're looking for a few new solutions this year too!
