JOB DESCRIPTION
Selecting, captioning and distributing images from photographer
submissions. Transmitting images to clients via FTP.
Selecting and maintaining website content.
The ideal candidate will have an experience of image editing in a
sport or production environment. Good knowledge of Irish sport is an

Just a week to go to Tokyo.
After a year of waiting, the 2020 Summer Olympics will get underway next Saturday.
Delayed due to COVID-19 – the mammoth task of qualifying for the Olympics became even harder with lockdowns, restrictions, uncertainty and challenging times for athletes, coaches and their families.
Team Ireland are sending a remarkable 116 athletes to the games this time around – the biggest team ever to represent the country. The previous record was 81 athletes at the 1948 games in London.

Sportsfile won three awards at the annual PPAI Awards last night, with three first-time winners in Piaras Ó Mídheach, Sam Barnes and Seb Daly.
Piaras won Second Place in the Sports Action Category

Sure, he earned 57 International Caps playing for the Republic of Ireland.
He managed the national team for 68 games over two terms, and was planning to get Ireland back to the Euros before his tenure ended early in unforeseen circumstances with COVID-19 pressing pause on the sporting world.
But the real question you want answered is, what is Mick McCarthy like as a photographer?

There’s an old posting on adverts.ie for a match programme from 2006.
Longford v Dublin, 4th of June 2006. Pearse Park in Longford. It was sold for a fiver. The photo on the ad is upside-down and the text a bit hard to read, but it looks like they made a €2 profit on it. Still, a bargain.
The description on the ad says ‘Dublin’s last championship match outside Croke Park. Longford refused to concede home advantage and the Dubs travelled down on a bank holiday weekend in glorious sun shine to seal a 2 point win.’
