With winter just around the corner, and the legs twitching to get strapped in, it feels like theres so much to organise and arrange before we take that winding road up up to "home." Struggling to find a job that will let me pursue my photography dream on the side, its getting rather nerve wrecking as the countdown gets smaller. With an apartment to organise on top of that, I can feel the strain of it all coming down on me! But I'm a firm believer in what happens happens, we all have a path to take, and theres no point in getting worked up over something you can't control. So I'm going to do wh ..read more

So after my season in Meribel I knew what I wanted......... In fact it started in Australia, the dream of taking photos and travelling whilst doing it was something I knew I was passionate about. This became more of a reality when I started to push my snow sports photography in the French Alps. I came away from the season with the motivation to push this in to a career, least of all, a job on the side of my full time work for now. First of all was to plan the summer ahead, what competitions to head to and where to go. Living in the Lake District its easy to get a beautiful landscape shot, but ..read more

Saturday's event at Bearsden Ski & Board Club showcased some of the best Skiing & Snowboarding freestyle to be seen in the UK. Go Big or Go Home lived true to its name and the level of the competition was outstanding. Luckily for all who were north of the Scottish border we were greeted with what ended up to be amazing weather for the whole day. There was a Jam format where competitors were eliminated with each round until there was only 4 riders left for the final. The Final showed some amazing talent with the riders stepping up their game to impress! 1080'S, double rodeo's and many ..read more

So a few weeks back at KJam, Darren Walsh proposed the idea that had my eyes light up from the word go! It was to involve filming GB Park & Pipe rider Scott Walsh, dry slopes, and double front flips! Not one to shy away from a challenge, I immediately went to my good friend Scotty Stephenson for his involvement. Knowing his experience behind a lens I wanted him on board. Luckily he was free, and we could get planning, so this weekend we headed to Stoke Ski Centre to see what we could conjure up! With Scotty's filming plans in place we scouted out locations when we got to Stoke. The place ..read more

Name - Sam Mason Born - Birmingham Age - 16 This guy has talent and he's not afraid to show it! We met the other night and scoped out a few locations close to home. Born in Birmingham, Sam moved to Kendal aged 2 and has been living here ever since. He started skating at the age of 11 and in the last 5 years he has progressed to a level where he is undoubtedly one of the best in the area! With his desire to get every trick perfected but to do so with style, he is incredible to watch. Skating around the North West, in places such as Manchester, Liverpool, Wigan and Lancashire he is really leavi ..read more

Name - Scott Walsh Born - Liverpool Age - 13 A seriously talented dude at 13 years of age this boy knows no boundaries! From free running on the streets to killing it at spring break on his snowboard, he isn't short of abilities! At KJam he was throwing double front flips, laid out backflips, steezy corked 5's and even front flipping the box feature. Serious nerve to go with his talent, and an amazing watch for all spectators and other competitors! I had the opportunity to shoot him at Chill Factore, Manchester and these are the photos I captured! Laying it down for a 13 year old, definitely ..read more

The ONLY way to start the UK's Summer season! So KJam 2016 was a massive success! It was so good to see some new faces hitting the Kendal dry slope along with a few of the regulars! For the comp the main slope was equipped with a 3 feature jib line and the jump line consisted of two kickers and a quarter pipe running into small rollers in the landing. This unique layout allowed for 2 jam sessions to run at the same time - meaning that the snowboarders could hit the kickers for 90 mins whilst skiers were on the Jib line and then move over to the rails for 90 mins after the BBQ lunch (special d ..read more
