My first stop after getting off the plane was dim sum. Then it was Ink House to get my long-awaited Sailor PGS Nuts! Am so happy I got one of their last ones. The pen body is more grey than olive, but the color balance is perfect and the yellow finials make me smile especially as I use it with my yellow Stalogy notebook. I was using a few of my pens with different color ink when I absent-mindedly confused my Eco for my Vac700. I twisted the knob thinking I was opening up the plunger. As someone who uses pens for work, and writes quite a lot, practical values matter to me. For instance, Iroshizuku inks are beautiful but a bit of a nuisance (slow to dry, hard to clean, more prone to creeping), and I've had a pen break after using them (who knows if it was related, but Pelikan felt it was). To be fair, my Custom Urushi writes its best with Iroshizuku in it. I'm debating trying a whole bunch of sailor inks, but do they have a general reputation? I was getting up to look for my phone and forgot I didn't put the Parker 51 burgundy Aerometric I was using away. Of course it missed the rug by merr inches and smacked into the floor right on the lucite end.
