My father (59M) invited himself to stay with me (26F) for a month (without telling me). Can, and if so, how, do I tell him he’s not welcome?

My estranged father invited himself to stay at my house for a month. My father (59M) invited himself to stay at my (26F) house for a month. He lives abroad and apparently told my mother (62F), who lives with me, that he’s made his plans already / bought his tickets. This happened a while ago it seems, but she only told me today, very matter-of-factly and as if it was completely normal. My father and I do not have a close relationship and basically do not speak - I’ll see him a couple times a year, with other family members around. I do not want to see him, let alone live with him for a month ..read more

Is what I’m (32F) doing with this guy (29M) okay and socially acceptable?

I ‘32F’ am really in need of some advice from outside sources. For the past few years I’ve been living at home with my parents and two older siblings. I’m the youngest best by several years, so I’ve always been the baby and been treated as such. Neither of my siblings have dated nor been on dates in over twenty-five years. I grew up having a very skewed idea of dating and I didn’t until I was in my mid twenties because I just didn’t have any idea and I was even put off of it due to comments made by family members. Anyway, a few weeks ago I decided to download some dating apps because not only ..read more

i (24F) want to be taken care of, but i’m afraid of asking for it from my boyfriend (28M). how do i convey it to him? i have been dating my boyfriend for just over three months now, what drew me to him was how proactive he was in pursuing me, always planning ahead and the dates. he actively participated in conversations and i didn’t have to question his intentions. but i feel like that has dropped off a bit and that he feels like that now that i am his girlfriend, he doesn’t need to put in as much effort anymore in pursing me. i want a man to take lead in the relationship, be decisive, and i ..read more

Hi guys I am 29 f and I asked my partner that I needed a break because we don’t have sex ! (I felt like I was being selfish but I can’t do it anymore). We been together for almost 4 years and the past year I was lucky to get fucked maybe once every 2 month( I have a high sex drive btw). I felt like shit because I love this man and he is perfect in every other sense but sex. Last time, I was horny and I was getting off my period and he was like well you on your period and in my head I was like I fucked many guys even guys who were not my bfs while on my period ! Most guys don’t care anyways. I ..read more

My 34m bf believes I 30f should do all the house chores because I work 3x a week. Do you think this is fair in a relationship?

What do you think about role relationships with males and females? Should females do it all? Ive been in nursing school. I passed my nclex on Tuesday. We bought a house 6months in, but I needed help for about a year paying NJ mortgage. This was held over my head with me promising once I finish I will pay. The holding over my head consisted of me being lazy (because I was studying) me not picking up shifts (because I had school) any just constant bullying that I wasn’t doing enough. I stuck to myself and finally passed this past Tuesday with a new job starting 9/16. Since Tuesday, I’ve done th ..read more

I (29F) am getting married to my fiance (32M) in two weeks. Let's call him Bob. Bob and I have been together for a little over 5 years. Engaged for a year. Bob owns two companies. One of them his is baby he built from the ground up and has been a work in progress for about 10 years. He started his company about a year into our relationship so I've been there since day one. I wasn't super supportive at first, not because I didn't believe in him, but he was working 80+ hour weeks and I wasn't mentally prepared to be a part of a newer relationship where I barely got to see my partner. A few months ago, my boyfriend and I decided to move in together and subsequently starting melding our lives into one space. This recently became an issue when it comes to meal times and eating habits. My boyfriend is very strict when it comes to his eating habits, including meal prepping, caloric intake, his daily sugars, protein, etc. This was something I knew about him before we started living together and never would have imagined it could be a problem until now. Recently, my boyfriend has begun commenting on my quality of eating and how it compares to his own. To be as open as possible ..read more

My fiance is going away on vacation tomorrow with his best friend 30m, his best friends girlfriend 30f and another friend 33m and he didnt tell me about it until yesterday. We split for a week a couple months ago and he says this was the time he booked it. He didn’t tell me that he was going away until yesterday, he just slipped it into conversation. I am so hurt and i feel so excluded and left out, that he didn’t think to invite me and that he hid it from me for weeks. I’ve begged him not to go because of the way hes handled the situation and i’ve explained to him how this has made me feel b ..read more

My 38F wife suddenly has an increased sex drive towards me 39M and I believe it is from a celebrity obsession. Should I be angry?

Recently my wife (38F) has had a higher drive for sex and I believe it is triggered from her possible obsession with a celebrity( I am 39M). Being suspicious I looked thru her phone (I know this is not right for me to do) and found her search history flooded with searches of this person. The history dates back a week and recently it’s been searched for certain sexual movie scenes. What bothers me is that we have mismatched libidos and she will often make me feel bad for even wanting sex. Will say things like “is that all you think about” when we have only had sex 1-2 times that week. Now sinc ..read more

Me(29M) and my(30F) gf are having a massive crisis. We are on the verge of breaking up. The biggest reason is that she works for a man, in his 50s which she had a sexual relationship with for 6 months, few years ago. I find it incredibly inappropriate to even do something like this but have been okay with the fact that happened cuz she was going thru a weird time back than and doing lots of reckless things I have reached a point where i cannot accept anymore that they are still friends and work together, so they see each other on a daily basis . I have told her i can't get over it and i find ..read more
