I have fairly standard sized prescription glasses. they are in a hard shell case. I want to protect them reasonably well from crushing forces in a bag. but there must be a smaller way to carry them? I've search for molded cases, kydex, plastic, you name it. is there really no way to get a smaller case for glasses? something that you could mold around them to be the smallest possible case ..read more

Buddies, since spring/summer (business) travel has increased compared to the last three years. The travel systems (plane, train, busses, streets) seem to became less reliable - depending on weather, technical break-downs, etc. While I was able to master my journeys so far and got home, also with several hours of delay - I was lucky to find myself not being stuck (knock on wood!) in a train in the middle of nowhere, in an airport / train or bus station after any connection has been... Background: I'm a photographer in Toronto Canada. Life is very urban. When I'm shooting, I usually holster a Vic Voyager Lite. I've tried many times to carry this MT knife in my pocket edc, but it's too BULKY. I always have LM Squirt PS4 on my keys, which is almost enough knife in my world (once trimmed a carpet with it!) but I really wanted a bigger knife in my pocket. I realized that for edc, I don't need everything in the... Victorinox Compact - why its my new friend ..read more

Some users asked about how to test xtar 1.5V Li-ion batteries’ capacity. XTAR Lab uses the high-precision battery capacity grading system to test the real capacity of the 1.5V AA/AAA Li-ion batteries. This measurement method is the best and most precise. Set the constant discharge current needed and the cut-off voltage on the grading system, start to discharge, and record the discharge time. Then calculate the battery capacity with the formula : Q=I*T. Here Q means the quantity of electric... What you should know about xtar 1.5V Li-ion battery capacity test ..read more

"Hi everyone, I'm chaosmagnet and I am an unabashed Leatherman fanboy." "Hi chaosmagnet!" With that out of the way, I ordered a Leatherman Arc nine days ago and it arrived today. I paid for the tool out of my own pocket and also for the Leatherman Custom Shop to put my chaosmagnet symbol on the blade, and I give them huge props because it came out perfectly. This is a Christmas present from my wife to me, so I couldn't mess with it for long without risking a glare and possibly even a... Leatherman Arc: First Impressions ..read more

A coming-of-age tale of one bag nerd’s quest for the ultimate EDC backpack.

My love for backpacks has grown exponentially over recent years as has my appreciation and expectation of those packs. Over the past 6 or 8 months, I’ve taken a deep dive into some of the hottest bags on the market, in search of the Goldilocks, or maybe just my next high, if I’m being completely honest. The story begins with a rapid fire acquisition of a Mystery Ranch 2DAP, UA21, and Scree32. Moving quickly to GoRuck 15 and 16L bullets, a GR1 Huckberry Slick, a couple super rare versions...
