Things will be a bit different Like every organisation, we have had to adapt to continue to safely provide a much needed service. Using a Laptop Riser to Prevent Upper Back and Neck Pain
Feel Better Osteopathy
by Emma Lipson

People are spending more and more time in front of a screen, both for work and leisure.  As an osteopath I always ask patients about their desk set up and computer use. A desk top computer, when properly set up is the best option ergonomically. However, many people prefer the convenience and size of laptops due to work patterns or lifestyle. Common Trampolining Injuries and How to Prevent Them
Feel Better Osteopathy
by Emma Lipson

Trampolining parks are springing up all over the country. Four years ago there were none, and now there are over 100 in the UK. Since our local trampolining centre opened, I have seen a surge of adults and kids seeking osteopathy treatment for a range of trampolining injuries. I visited our local trampolining centre over the Easter holidays with my kids. It was great fun for the whole family and a good chance to do some exercise. However, it made me realise how easy it is to twist or sprain various parts your body – particularly for parents who are trying to keep up with their kids! Aside from ..read more

The Story of the Osteopath Who Broke Their Hand
Feel Better Osteopathy
by Emma Lipson
1y ago
It was the end of a fun-filled bank-holiday weekend and we were returning home from the park. My husband and older daughter had gone ahead and I was running with my younger daughter who had just learnt to ride her ‘big-girl bike’. She was going quite fast, then swerved in front of me. Partly to break her fall and partly to avoid falling on top of her, I catapulted myself over the top of child and bike, landing on (and bending back) my right-hand fingers. “OUCH!” was not exactly the word I used in front of my 3 year old! After an hour and a half in A&E, I was relieved when it was my turn to ..read more
