This Thursday evening marks the beginning of the Palmetto Tatdays. This is a weekend of tatting and fun that is organized by the fabulous Palmetto Tatting Guild. Last year I ran out of time and didn’t end up sending a kit for the grab bags. This year I’m lucky that Ginny Weathers and Deana MacKenzie are taking my kits in their car. I’m happy I was able to get the kits down there in time. My big issue was getting a good picture of the project so I wrote on the pattern to come to this blog for a picture. The pattern itself is very simple but it always helps to ..read more

Happy Canada Day!!!!
I just want to let you know that I've been giggling to myself over this pattern. I can't find a picture but there are often Canada Day Hats where the top is a maple leaf, its kinda felt like and its kinda like the "cat in the hat" hat. That's kinda what this gnome is wearing. I couldn't get my hands on a letter C bead this weekend but I'm planning on making a few gnomes with a C going between the 2 large SCMRs in the hat. In the bottom picture the SCMRs in the beard are 2 p 2 and I added braids to the picots. Like I said I ..read more

Hi everyone!
Every year I do a quick tat-a-long for the days leading up to Canada Day. I have been doing this since 2018 and every year it it seems to work out. The project is not meant to tat you all day to tat and is just a fun quick project. There will still be plenty of time to go watch fireworks and parades. The Canada Day Tat-a-long will be followed by a 4th of July Tat-a-long. This will occur over the days leading up to the 4th. I hope you enjoy these projects!

Do you remember the Quaker Pumpkin pattern from last year? I also made an edging for this pattern. There is a slight change in the pumpkin at the top to make the edging. I make the pumpkins first and then the vine and stem.
As always we are working together on these free patterns so any mistakes that you find please let me know. While I have test tatted the pattern it doesn't mean its perfect. Cheers!

Happy Fall Everyone! The mighty Acorn is a traditional fall motif that we all need to have in our pattern library. This pattern is a simple interpretation of the acorn.
Keep this pattern in mind, we may be using this in a future pattern. Of course this all depends on how much share time I have this month lol.
