By way of a response, since March, we have been running a prevention campaign targeting Latin American individuals working in Poland with safety information regarding what exploitation looks like, how to adopt preventative measures to keep themselves safe, and details ..read more

CONSULTING BRIEF #4
Call centre scamming operations contribute to the trafficking of thousands of migrants across Southeast Asia. The recent convictions of 3 traffickers and successful action taken by law enforcement indicate that it may be gradually becoming more difficult to traffic people in this way. As some of the first successful convictions of these call centre scam traffickers take place, we believe direct action like this can enable a future where call centres are not exploitative.
Call centres are a high-risk workplace for exploitation, with staff working long hours wi ..read more

In March, we launched our response to the horrifying earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria. In the first 10 days of our prevention campaign, we have targeted three of the most severely-impacted provinces in Türkiye – Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Gaziantep – with plans to steadily expand to reach all the impacted areas.
So far, more than 300,000 young people have been reached through our campaign. More than 6,000 of them have visited our landing pages, which contain the contact details of national hotlines and partner organisations that provide on-the-ground support.
According to OCHA (UN Office ..read more

Earlier this week, the government introduced proposed new legislation aimed at stopping small boats crossing the Channel from France.
According to the plan, asylum seekers arriving via small boats will be detained and removed to their home country if officials deem it safe to do so, or a third “safe country” such as Rwanda. Every person seeking protection from modern slavery or human trafficking (MSHT) arriving in the UK will be severely impacted by this legislation.
At STOP THE TRAFFIK, we operate a data-driven, evidence-led approach. We believe the key to stopping trafficking is undermining ..read more

Since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, there has been an increase in risk to children and young people of being groomed and recruited into exploitation via online channels.
