Slated to open late next year, the park is in the design stage now, with the design about 95% complete, Parks and Recreation Director Chuck Jennings said. “It’s a continuation of a very successful master-planned community in Mansfield,” said Ben Luedtke, executive vice president of Dallas-based Hanover Property Co. A little under 500 new homes are heading to the M3 Ranch project in Mansfield, part of the second phase of what will eventually be an over 1,500-home master-planned community. The upcoming phase will include an amenity center with a clubhouse, a lake, a splash pad and large resort-style pool and a large open space for play fields. This 10-acre park will be the first for the western portion of the Town of Flower Mound and a welcome addition to the 1,200-acre Canyon Falls master planned community. MESA has been working with the City of Frisco and the engineer to redesign key areas of the Downtown Frisco Rail District, including Main Street, Elm Street, and the addition of a new plaza at 4th Street. The new design promotes a pedestrian-friendly environment and encourages activation of the plaza and public realm with the addition of an event stage, water feature, gateway monuments, public restroom, and more.
