Proud to post this article about the Fulton County Schools, GA music therapy program. I (Jen) started my career in this program as the second music therapist on staff and (boy!) it has grown so much! Fulton Co has such wonderful MT-BCs working in their system who are impacting so many student lives!   I carried my school based experience north- MBMT, LLC now serves over 20 students with IEPs in 5 Vermont school districts. A recent news feature discussing a music therapy group for Parkinson’s patients.   At MBMT, LLC there are two MT-BCs trained in neurological music therapy which uses rhythmic entrainment to help with motor goals. This week, we are celebrating a new music therapy program at LSU.   As we advocate for our profession here in Vermont, we often find people are surprised to hear that music therapists have completed a college degree program, which includes a clinical internship consisting of over 1000 hours.
