Hey y'all, my GF has had scalp psoriasis all her life, but this week it has erupted in small patches across her body. We think it was triggered by her shaving, and it's causing her considerable distress. She has some bad body dis-morphia and this is really messing with her. I'm not gonna lie, I don't know much about psoriasis and really neither does she. We just discovered coal tar and it's been really good for the pain. My hope is that y'all can give us some advice on how to treat and manage it in the short term. We can't afford to go to a real dermatologist until at least next month. She's ..read more

Psoriasis keeps coming back

I have a scaly rashy spot of psoriasis next to my eye and it keeps coming back and growing bigger. It usually goes away after I use calcipotriene multiple times a day for like a week and then a few weeks later that spot just gets itchy for no reason (possibly stress related) and the more I itch the more it comes back and I am not sure what to do. I am considering upgrading to a more strong steroid cream to make it go for longer periods of time submitted by /u/techshadowzzzz [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Both elbows have had these scaly, cracking skin for a couple of months now. No itch but a little sore, especially the more cracked they get. Been moisturizing them with unscented cream, cut down on hot showers etc. until I could see my doctor. No other areas on body have this, but both my mum and brother have it so I figured I’d go get it checked out. For context, I also have major gut issues I’ve been trying to get diagnosed/healed in the past couple of years, so if it is psoriasis, I wouldn’t be surprised. She said she wasn’t 100% sure but prescribed me Dovobet and said if it helps, then we ..read more

Hi, I've had plaque psoriasis for as long as i can remember, and I'm 18. I guess this is a recent "flare up" that I'd like help at least getting through, before Skyrizi takes care of the issues Areas of flare up: Face: dry skin, and in the morning, its all white and flakey skin thats really annoying, and if i wash it off (usually taking a shower to scrub it) my face gets extremely sensitive, putting lotion on can very much hurt. Collarbone, inside elbow and inside knee: just dry, irritated itchy skin. Lower back/arm: hives and some dry skin. Very itchy and very annoying. Medications Skyrizi ..read more

Why does psoriasis continue to get worse year on year?

Hello, I have a question that I would love to know the answer to. I’ve had psoriasis since I was about 14 (now 34, M). I have gradually got small new patches over the years, and over the past 3 I now have it on almost all body parts apart from my back, and it seems to be getting worse and worse, quicker than ever before. I’ve actually been watching my weight and diet more than ever and no change, what is the actual reason that it continues to get worse and worse each year? I’m toying with the idea that it may be time to go onto systemic medication but I am nervous to do so as I’m concerned it ..read more

Is dizziness a common symptom of psoriasis in ears?

Hey all! I have psoriasis pretty badly on the back of my scalp, stomach and in my ears. I have been dizzy and lightheaded for the past ten months and am desperately trying to figure out why. My doctor hasn't been much help. Has anyone had these symptoms when dealing with psoriasis in ears? I have read it can happen, but I'm not jumping to believe Google haha. Thanks for any input! submitted by /u/roastingmytaters [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
