Previously implemented traditional outreach methods such as postcards and robocalls were not meeting expectations, and the client continued to experience an increase in customer service calls from frustrated members trying to find a dentist or schedule an appointment.

When addiction and substance abuse come to mind, most people imagine damage to the lungs, stomach, heart or brain — not injury to teeth or gums. Unfortunately, drug use damages a user’s teeth and gums, creates ulcers in the mouth, and can result in a loss of teeth or costly treatments. And while there is a heavy focus on providing health care during recovery, oral health is often overlooked.
DentaQuest recently had the chance to talk to Julie Burns, the president and CEO at the RIZE Massachusetts Foundation, an independent nonprofit foundation working to end the opioid epidemic in Massachuset ..read more

Introducing the basics of oral health care — partnered with routine dentist appointments — at an early age is important because tooth decay can begin as soon as a child’s first tooth grows in, usually around six months. If left untreated, tooth decay can cause pain and infections that can result in serious ..read more

At DentaQuest, we know that improving the oral health of all starts with providing equitable access to dental care for all. Considering that nearly 74 million Americans lack dental benefits, there is a lot of work to be done to break down barriers to care. Without access, consumers can’t get essential preventive dental care and education, which contributes to a higher risk of chronic health issues beyond the mouth.
It’s why DentaQuest’s Preventistry® approach to achieving good oral health is centered on preventive education, expanding access and solutions that drive quality of care over quant ..read more

Once fall rolls around, everything gets a bit busier and with the world seemingly moving 100 miles per minute, it’s important to slow down and take time to help those in need. That’s why every October, DentaQuest employees take time to give back to their local communities and make a difference. While DentaQuest’s Mission Month has taken various forms over the past few years, this annual tradition was strengthened by the participation of our colleagues at Sun Life U.S.
