In commemoration of a unique centennial, the United States Mint resurrected its last two silver dollar coin designs in 2021. The year marked the 100th anniversary of both the final issue of Morgan Silver Dollars in 1921 and the inaugural release of Peace Silver Dollars. Though numismatists were hopeful the coins would become an annual commemorative series, the absence of Morgan Dollars and Peace Dollars in 2022 quickly squashed those hopes.
