Hey all,
New to this community and looking for some advice. Me and my partner are expecting our first child and want to use her childhood lamp for the nursery. However, the lampshade has some damage around the top (metal bit inside has disconnected from the exterior. Does anyone know how/where would be the best places to restore this? I have attached images
For reference, location is Brisbane, Queensland Australia

The pretty vine-y top started life as a sheet. Later, my husband adopted it from the thrift store and it spent several years as a drop cloth (for sawdust and plaster dust not paint). When he no longer needed it, he offered it to me.
The other fabric is from flannel sheets that an empty nester friend was getting rid of. I've made some with denim from cut-up-shorts instead of flannel.
I used buttons for attaching the wings until I ran out of big buttons so now I've started with snaps.
The core is made of freaky scary high plastic manufactured stuff (Zorb).

I’ve held onto these tea tins for years. Finally decided to drill some holes in them and make small planters. They’re so beautiful!

Was given this dresser. Looks somewhat MCM, but covered in veneer, not hardwood. Has anyone had experience in upcycling MCM without completely compromising the original style? I’m open to all ideas!

What can I do with these plastic utensils I’ve accidentally collected over the years? I already keep some in my car. I thought of donating them to people who host events, but then they’d just be tossed anyway. Hmmm…ideas?
