Sorry for the lack of trip reports the last couple months but I've been busy with my Mom, trips, including one to Ft. Lauderdale to visit Mom, youtube channel and all the rest which comes with daily life. I'm happy to share that my Mom who has been having a rough time of it and at the last minute last year had to cancel out of spending Thanksgiving in Las Vegas due to health reasons is doing better now and it looks like she will be able to meet me in Las Vegas the end of March. Going to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving this year started out sad as my Mom couldn't join us due to some recent health problems so she stayed home in Fort Lauderdale to celebrate with friends. The good news is that Mom is doing much better and my son and I are going to visit her in Ft. Lauderdale in early January. You might think I would be tired of going to Las Vegas as this year my trips have been so frequent, but there's alway something new and exciting to do and so many friends to meet up with, that I'm always excited to go to Vegas for my vacations! My flight out of San Jose was on time and an hour and 10 minutes later I was in Vegas where my Cosmopolitan Escalade driver was waiting for me. For the first time my husband Randy was joining me at G2e (Global Gaming Expo), not to see the new games so much but because John Fogerty was performing at Venetian during the same week as the convention. We would be staying at Palazzo since the G2e convention was at Sands convention center at Venetian. It's that time of year again when the Global Gaming Expo (G2e), international gaming trade show and conference for the industry took place at the Sands conference center in Las Vegas. This is where they network, talk about the trends, attend various seminars,  see the latest products, not just in slot machines but all types of gaming, food, beverage and hospitality that casinos may offer. I wasn't going to visit Las Vegas in May, honestly I wasn't but when I learned Vegaschic had signed up for the $2500 buy-in tournament at Venetian/Palazzo and other friends would be in town I decided to go for three nights starting May 19th. Mom decided instead of going to Vegas around my birthday in July as she did last year this time she would visit in April so we scheduled five nights with three at Palazzo and the last two at The Cosmopolitan. Mom was flying out of Ft. Lauderdale and myself out of San Jose airport both on Southwest airlines.
