We celebrated our 60th Anniversary on Friday, June 11! It was a beautiful day and so nice to be together “in person” celebrating NADS 60 years of service. Thank you to Senator Robert Martwick, the Mayor of Park Ridge, Marty Maloney and State Representative Seth Lewis for presenting us with this recognition. We received clarification from the State Rep. that the fine print in red does include the expansion of the word “disability”.  It is notated under 1.  Therefore, this should be clear that our community is included in the expansion of 1B in Illinois. This was sent to me for response. Thanks for asking for clarity—people with disabilities do not need to have a comorbidity too.
