You’ll always wish you could go back & tell your younger self the things you know now. But the cruel reality is that you wouldn’t be who you are today if you hadn’t lived through all the moments you have up until exactly right now. If any lesson hadn’t been learned or if any chapter had been different then you wouldn’t be the you that you currently are. You also never know what the future holds, what it will bring you & when, or what your timeline of the things you want will look like. I’m entering my second half of being 30 & I didn’t know what this age would do to me or how it wo ..read more

It’s a new decade! And I’m so excited to see all that 2020 holds for my life & business. This past year was full of so much for me in so many ways. I worked with some amazing brands, traveled with my family, took tons of photos, & grew so much in knowing myself & exactly what I need. But before I switch gears & focus on what I want to experience this next year, I want to take a quick look back at this past year & reflect on all that it brought. Hello, 2019 called & they want to remind you that you got to work with Aerie. Like, freakin’ Aerie! This was definitely for me ..read more

I know it’s almost the end of the year & this is where my end of the year/new beginnings post should be. But before I talk about those topics I really still want to share my annual birthday post reflecting on my age & life, & not just where my business & dreams have taken me. So I’m doing it. I’m sharing my what my life is like right now. I’m sharing what 27 feels like. This age feels like an older one. It feels like one that seems more experienced. I did a shoot at the end of October & my photographer friend, Sam, said that she could see the maturity in my face through her ..read more

I’ll admit that I’m not one of those people who only uses all-natural products. I mean, I’m definitely all about eliminating chemicals & all the bad stuff that can be found in tons of products in your home. But honestly, I still have my favorite beauty items, like make-up & texture spray, that I just can’t give up! Thankfully here in Reno we have a local plant based apothecary shop known as Pantry Products that makes the best chemical free products like hand soap, facial masks & scrubs, baby products, lip balms, hand lotions & so much more! I first started using Pantry Products ..read more

They say if you make it seven years in a relationship then you have a really good chance of staying together for the rest of your life. Well, I’ve been blogging for seven years now & I’m happy to say that I’m still committed to seeing where this whole thing is going. My relationship with my blog has definitely ebbed & flowed over the years, but I’ve never given up on it & I don’t think I ever will. Ever since blogging came into my life I have had a sense of purpose, a place to write & express myself, & it’s something I never knew I needed so much until looking back on my li ..read more

I’m not married. I don’t have kids. But I’m still important, aren’t I? When I was younger I truthfully thought that I would be married & done having kids by the time I turned 25. I also thought I’d love high school, go to college, have only one boyfriend who became my husband, & have my first kiss on my wedding day. None of those things happened. No one told me my life would look like that, but at 12 years old that’s really how I pictured it would all happen. Now I’m 26, I am not about to get married, currently on my period so clearly not pregnant, & unlike the Drew Barrymore film ..read more

City guide to las vegas, nevada: fun things to do that aren’t on the strip

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Except not really when you go so many times & bring back dreams of visiting the city again & again & again. I first went to Las Vegas when I was almost 13 for a friend’s birthday weekend to see The Phantom of the Opera. We stayed on the strip, saw the Treasure Island show, ate at Tao, & shopped at all the stores. Despite growing up in Reno, I didn’t go back again until my brother moved there just after my high school graduation & his college graduation. I drove down with my middle brother who was going to a New Found Glory show & m ..read more

Life update: busy & secluded, but doing okay

The beginning of the year hit & I feel like I haven’t slowed down one bit ever since. Normally, this is my slower time of the year, but for some reason I have been non-stop busy with projects & I’m super grateful for it. My feed has been filled with tons of sponsorship posts which means I’m getting paid to take photos & do what I love. And my inbox has been constantly being filled with new opportunities & jobs. I’ve always said that I never knew this was my dream because it just sort of slowly happened to me, but I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else. Being busy is great, b ..read more
