Hello! Not really sure what I’m after by sharing this, I don’t really have anyone to talk to I guess. I told myself I wouldn’t let it all get to me and not to worry until I got a definitive diagnosis but if I’m being honest, it’s all I’m thinking about right now. So maybe typing it up will help? Weird thing when i was 13 I have an awkward story, i am a woman, almost 30, and i have autism. I have a memory, i was a 13 year old girl, i was at a playground with my 7 year old niece. I was in the middle of puberty and i remember i wanted to play fight with her, and hoping i would get a "nice feeling" down there because of the movements while play fighting. Good evening everyone, Former navy medic and senior biomedical science/pre-med student here. About a pack a day smoker until 2 weeks ago. In early July I started to wheeze really bad while just sitting on the couch, ended up in the ER and they sent me home with albuterol. In late august I had a PFT done. All my numbers looked great except my FEV1 was 70% so they diagnosed me with early stage copd. Hi I’m seriously worried. My mom’s hearing has always been super sharp. We had some bad stress /oxygen loss with power outage during Ian. Past two days my mom can’t hear well at all. She thinks it’s normal???‍♀️. No way does someone experience hearing loss this quickly. It’s presenting with a bit of confusion and phlegm. Someone i know is on oxygen but smokes cigarettes. They disconnect from it when smoking. Does anyone know if while they’re connected to it if its okay for vape smoke to potentially be breathed in if theyre close enough?
