What polymer clay is best suited for charms and [thick] beads?

So I've only used polymer clay a handful of times and don't know much beyond "different clay types for different crafts". I'm looking to make small charms (size of a twoonie or smaller) or round beads (16mm~), I'm just not sure what clay would be best for what I'm doing. Also just to be clear I'm in Canada. submitted by /u/notthatamazingGrace [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Newbie using polymer bake clay inquiries

How can I “fix” imperfections on a sculpture after it has been baked? I read somewhere that you can sand it but I noticed that doing this leaves scratch marks behind and discoloration…. Also what type of paint can I use on a sculpture after it’s baked- to add details Lastly, after it’s baked is it recommended that I use as a finish on the clay- to keep it from getting damaged… So far I have used Sculpty III and the Hobby Lobby brand (that is now apparently discontinued)… Any help is greatly appreciated! submitted by /u/votezombiez [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Ripples after UV resin

Hi! Getting these ripples after using UV resin. The ripples seem to be between the resin and polymer, you can't feel them on the surface. I use a small torch to pop the bubble. Any ideas how to avoid this? Perhaps torch created them? I don't get them always, but quite often. Can't seem to figure out what's wrong. submitted by /u/mbriedis [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
