I just purchased a nice manufactured home and got a really cool frame tv that looks like a piece of art.
I am determined to mount it. it is 38lbs
the mobile home wall is very thin, maybe half an inch. there is a hole in the wall and it goes through to the guest bedroom…
no studs obviously
I don’t care if the backside of the wall (guest room) looks horrible. I’ll throw a tapestry up.
What needs to be done? attach some wooden planks that are the length of the room to the backside?
or use one of these standing wall mounts? https://www.crutchfield.com/S-jgJ4tuKmpZH/p_699FL601LT/AVF-Against-the-Wa ..read more

Hoping someone can recommend a remodel/job site portable air filtration system.
Some jobs require building a little booth cordoned off from the rest of the house and sometimes without access to a window in which a fan could be put in to draw air out.
These portable air filters make it so you can have air exchange in your closed off work space without getting dust all over your clients house.
Clean air for you and hugely improved dust control for your client.
Here is a quick example of the type of product I'm talking about I found on Amazon.

Hi folks. Wife and I bought a house, it included this unfinished fireplace downstairs. We're gonna finish it with stone and a mantle, but would you guys recommend drywalling it first before adding other stuff?

As a handyman lots of my work is short lived, I'm in and out of a house often in one day leaving little opportunity for neighbors to see a sign, at that point the magnets on my car are just as good. I also don't like the idea of potentially having to drive back to sites to pick up a sign I left. So how do you guys handle this?
What are your practices for putting up signs in front of homes you work at?
Do you ask the homeowner upfront for x amount of days you can have a sign in the yard?
Do you leave them overnight? For a week?
Or should I only use them in high traffic medians and other roadsi ..read more

I recently started a job where I was asked to repaint about 90 feet of wrought iron fence. I started by going over the whole thing with a wire wheel to remove any existing paint that was flaking off and to scuff up the paint. Then I put primer on all of the prepped rusty and bare metal areas. I’m using a direct-to-metal paint from Sherwin Williams. Once I started painting, more paint started flaking off onto my roller. Now I have to go back over the whole thing and remove more flaking paint. The customer wants to know how much more it will cost to basically go back and redo the prep work.

Neighbor is wanting to decommission her pool and use the space as a game room. What would you use to fill it in? Pea gravel, concrete,?
