Petite Panoply

Hello March and hello to all of you who still show up here once in a while. Here’s a colorful winter outfit I wore about a month back that I’ve yet to show you here. This colorful geometric silk top has made many many appearances here on the blog over the years. I thrifted it back in college and have worn it so many different ways because of the magical array of colors included in the print. This time I paired it with a newer pink corduroy button down mini skirt that I’ve been wearing all season and a long gray cardigan. For whatever reason, I can’t get enough of long cardigans lately even th ..read more

Valentine’s Day Outfit: Heart Print Dress with Red Tights
Petite Panoply

I’m about a week late, but this was my Valentine’s Day outfit this year. I’ve always loved styling outfits for Valentine’s Day. Maybe it’s the ridiculous amount of heart jewelry and heart print I can get away with. Maybe it’s that red is one of my favorite colors to wear and it’s essentially the color of the day. The day has passed, but I compiled some ideas of what to wear on Valentine’s day or a cool weather date night a few years back if you need date night inspiration. This year, I wore a hand-me-down tiny heart print dress (that has cute little heart buttons) with a black cardigan and re ..read more

Outfit: Maroon Polo Dress with Lace Tights

Isn’t it amazing how quickly certain things in your wardrobe can become really old? (Or maybe it’s just that 8 years can fly by.) As usual, this outfit is a mix of new and not-so-new. This maroon polo dress from Target is a new addition to my wardrobe but the rest of my outfit is super old, even down to the blue button earrings. These lace tights are practically ancient in tights years and the black boots are old hand-me-downs from a fellow style blogger of yesteryear. dress: target | tights, earrings: forever 21 | boots: hand-me-downs You know how there are trends that roll back around that ..read more

Outfit: Primary Colors with a Star Trek Scarf
Petite Panoply

Happy New Year to you! Can you believe we’re already half way through January? January is such a dull month for me. I thought it’d be nice to share a very colorful outfit here on the blog to help improve arguably the worst month of the year. I always feel good about what I’m wearing when pairing primary colors, which is probably why I wanted this Star Trek scarf from Think Geek so badly. The colors, and the fact that it’s subtly Star Trek patterned. If you’re far away you can’t even tell! For this primary colored outfit, the colors in my Star Trek scarf inspired me (clearly) and thought I’d d ..read more

Holiday Outfit: Penguin Sweater with a Leather Skirt
Petite Panoply

It’s a shame that these Target holiday sweaters of mine are so tied to a specific season because they fit so well and are super cute! Here’s holiday sweater number two to grace the blog this year. You’ve likely seen it before, but this time I styled it with a new faux leather Free People skirt, trusty polka dot tights (that somehow go with everything still), and a pair of black/silver glitter boots. Something about this particular shade of green and the blue of my hair makes me very happy. Also the glitter on my boots and the dangly ball-shaped earrings I’m wearing. Festive dressing in genera ..read more

Holiday Outfit: Tacky Sweater with a Black Velvet Skirt

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted here! Sorry! Lucky for you I have a couple more outfits already photographed, even though some may be good ol’ inside shots like these. Oh well. I know you’re only here for the outfits, so here’s what you’re looking for! This is a very festive outfit that I wore for a work holiday outing. I’ve had this red “fleece navidad” tacky sweater for a couple years and love pulling it out of the closet at just the right time of year. It’s from the kids’ section of Target, by the way, which means it’s a perfect length on me. I can never get over the word play as ..read more

Outfit: Mean Girls Day
Petite Panoply

It’s October 3rd. Have you heard? It’s Mean Girls Day! And you’ll be amazed to hear that this outfit is actually what I wore this very day I’m typing this. It’s been a long time since I could say that. To pay homage to the 2004 film masterpiece, I (of course) wore pink since it’s also Wednesday and on Wednesdays we wear pink. Scroll and you can see my Mean Girls Burn Book enamel pin I picked up at Dragon Con this year. The blue plaid asymmetrical wrap skirt you see here is a new purchase from Boohoo.com that I couldn’t help but pair with bright pink. It was only once I put these clothes on th ..read more

Dragon Con 2018: Zenon Girl of the 21st Century Costume
Petite Panoply

It’s that time of year! Time for the sharing of Dragon Con costumes – this one is my Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century costume – which conveniently happens in the lead up to Halloween. Mid-September counts as a lead up to Halloween, right? If you’re wondering what/who Zenon is, you’re either outside of a very specific age range of kids watching Disney Channel Original movies in the late 90s or you didn’t have the Disney Channel then. But it’s possibly my favorite DCOM and the outfits and lingo are pretty fantastic. Zetus Lapetus! Anyway, this was Zenon costume was a relatively last minute ..read more

Do you ever get through an entire season and realize you’ve mostly been wearing the same thing in various colors? My uniform this past summer has mostly consisted of T-shirts or sleeveless blouses with skater skirts. Either that or simple jeans and sleeveless shirt combinations because sometimes it gets cold in the office with the AC running.  So here is an example of the exact sort of outfit I’ve been wearing this summer, as I’m sure you’ve noticed from my most recent outfit posts. These are all new clothing items on the blog though! (Woohoo for new stuff!) The pink skater skirt was a p ..read more

Outfit: Vintage Floral Skirt and Blue Button Down
Petite Panoply

Hey look! I magically got “long” hair again. Or I’m just posting an outfit I wore many months ago that never appeared on the blog until now. I think you can figure out which statement is truth. If you’ve been around here a while, you’ve very likely seen this vintage floral skirt before. It’s one of my absolute favorite thrift finds and I attribute that mostly to the amazing colors in the print. I also can’t help myself from trying to match my accessories to the colors in this skirt. This time I figured out these magenta low block heels I found on Amazon match the print perfectly. The mat ..read more
