At the end of the year, what better way to end the year than by going to Switzerland to draw. To the Dior shop in Zurich, to be more specific.
It was my first time in this shop (I hope not the last) and the staff immediately made me feel at home and pampered me with attention (I was recovering from a bad cold).
The relaxed atmosphere and the fact that the customers came by appointment and therefore had time set aside for drawing influenced my drawings, which I find more serene than at other times.
There were those who kept their appointments with me despite the fact that they were flying i ..read more

A few days ago I had the pleasure to work again in one of my favourite places: the DIOR shop in Frankfurt. I spent there two days drawing the clients who had made a special appointment to be drawn in the newest items.
In preparation I made beforehand these sketches based on the collection that is currently hanging in the shops of the maison:
If I say it's one of my favourite places to work, it's because look at the table and the fabulous space they set up for me:
Besides, I already know the lovely team, who always welcome me with open arms, and even some repeat clients as models for my draw ..read more

As creatives we struggle most of the time between the work we aspire to and the work that comes naturally to us. On top of that we are torn between following a personal vision and meeting the client's expectations for each project. It's a delicate dance between the style you aspire to, your natural expression and external demands.
Sometimes, fortunately, it all comes together, as it did for me in the case of this project: I threw myself into drawing what I felt like doing and what comes easily to me, and it happened to fit the client's needs.
"Moulin Rouge", a theme full of charm and mystery ..read more

Drunk Elephant recently launched a series of products at an event in Düsseldorf that brought together many influencers and carried the slogan "now glisten to this". What better way to visualise it than using shiny golden discs. And it was the record sleeves that served as a support for my drawings.
Most of the guests were dressed in gold and it was a real joy to capture their clothes in watercolour. At the end, each guest put a gold disc, part of their gift for the evening, in the sleeve with their drawing. The sight of all those drawings, one after the other, on the gold-illuminated shelves ..read more

Last week YSL Germany organised a fantastic event in Berlin to present their new men's perfume MYSLF (what a cool name, by the way). And once again I had to pinch myself as I was chosen as the sketch artist to liven up the evening. So many handsome guys in one night!
It was, as always, non-stop drawing until midnight, but I was very happy to be part of the team on such a special occasion.
The location was wonderful, an old industrial building, in the purest Berlin style, with its brick walls and metal roof structure. It had been decorated to reflect the qualities of the perfume: masculine an ..read more

This year I see more and more car brands choosing custom illustrations drawn during the event as a way to entertain and give something special and unique to their guests.
The last one I had the chance to work on was a cooperation between Breuninger and Bentley. With the surprise that the other brand taking part in the event was La Prairie, which brought back memories of one of my favourite events.
An evening surrounded by lilac flowers and showcases of exquisite objects. And of course, spectacular cars. Unfortunately I didn't have much chance to admire them, as they were covered when I starte ..read more

Last week I was at the Village Outlet in Wertheim. The BOSS brand was offering its customers a special shopping event, with exclusive offers, DJ, drinks and a goodie bag that included two pieces of merchandising that I was responsible for customising.
The star product were the raffia beach bags with the BOSS logo on them, to which I gave a personal touch, making each of them a unique piece, using fashion drawings that I painted on the spot. I used photos from the brand's latest collections as a reference. And as material various special products for painting on textile.
There were also dark ..read more

It often happens that until I arrive at an event I don't quite know what to expect: is it only for invited guests, will I be in the middle of a shop during normal trade, or will it be a party where my table is next to the DJ's speakers.
This time I knew that the marketing event where I would draw live would take place in the Alsterhaus department store in Hamburg, that the client was La Prairie and that it would be nice if I was dressed in white. I thought we would be next to the La Prairie counter, in the middle of the cosmetics department.
What a wonderful surprise to walk into the rooms th ..read more

I was commissioned by the German magazine Tina to create the key visual for their Ageless Beauty Award 2022 (also known as TABA), which was presented last week.
The brief was to create a background, main drawing and a series of vignettes inspired by self-care and self-love. Under the slogan "I am loved, I am strong, I am enough".
This commission came while I was in Fuerteventura: hibiscus, light and warm colours in watercolours were what came to mind as elements that evoke treating oneself with love, compassion and assertiveness.
You can see the result and part of the process in the gallery b ..read more
