New – Reserve of wool scraps    Kitt has initiated a wool reserve which is stored in the drawers of the dresser in the front board room. Are you looking for a few wool strips of a particular colour? This treasure trove might have just what you need! This is meant as a give and take - you take a bit and you contribute a bit. All pieces are sorted by colour and stored in clear Ziplock bags. You will find both small pieces of wool fabric and pre-cut worms of various sizes. You will find wool yarn in the bottom drawer. Please feel free to help build up this stash! Tiny Treasures Workshop with Sara Judith    January 13-15, 2024. Thanks to Mary, our Guild was very fortunate to have Sara Judith, renowned rug hooking artist and teacher from Nelson BC, come to Centennial Hall to present us with a 3-day workshop called Tiny Treasures. Claire and Kitt provided some yummy snacks for the coffee breaks. Sara, Mary, and Claire. Our first day was challenged by a snowstorm! Jeu de mémoire / Exhibition     Marianick Viatour and Gaétan Berthiaume are visual artists specialising in wood sculpture. They joined our Beaconsfield Hooking Crafters Guild in September 2023, after having visited our rug exhibition in April 2023. In memory of Kay Cousineau (October 11, 1923 – November 13, 2023) Respectfully submitted by Ti Seymour Kay Cousineau (1923-2023). It is with great sadness that the Beaconsfield Rug Hooking Guild bows our heads in respect and wishes Godspeed to our Past President. Kay spent her working life as the executive secretary at the head office of the Royal Bank in Montreal. Christmas Hook-In on December 11, 2023    This week, the weather was on our side and most of our members were able to enjoy our last hook-in of the year together. It was an action-filled day with a Stuffed Christmas Sock exchange, door prizes, a delicious luncheon provided by members, and a little take-home gift for each. International Rug Hooking Day in South Lancaster 2023    An overnight storm hit Montreal with 30 centimetres of snow, forcing us to postpone our International Rug Hooking Day event in South Lancaster to Tuesday, Dec 5.
