The Peconic Ruggers have a lot of news this month!
We are pleased to announce that the guild has a fabulous display of rugs mounted in the cases at the Riverhead Library for the entire month of April. Thanks to Louise and everyone who contributed and hung the show. The display is in the case on the wall to the left of the elevator.
Our meeting this month will also be at the Riverhead Library Tuesday, April 18, 2017, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM down in the craft room. As always, bring something to work on and something for show and tell. It's an early meeting, so feel free to ..read more

Come join us at the Cutchogue Library for our February Hook In, open to one and all. We will meet from 10 am until 3 pm on Saturday, February 18, 2017. Bring your lunch, your hooking, and some finished work for show and tell.

The Peconic Ruggers celebrated the holidays on January 28 at the Riverhead Library. We had a lovely luncheon -- thanks to Margaret and Louise for all the delicious food and drink.

Our Holiday Hook In -- for members only -- will be on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 10 to 3 at the Riverhead Library. Please note the change in date and venue. The guild is providing lunch, so please be sure to let Louise know if you will be attending. Bring your current project as well as something for show and tell. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Cutchogue Presbyterian Church, 7 to 9 pm. Please do not arrive early -- there is another group meeting before us. Wait for them to leave before you enter the room. We will finalize plans for our next raffle rug.
At the October meeting, we decided on our challenge for the 2018 Rug Show: Take a Walk on the Wild Side: a Jungle Challenge. Put your thinking cap on and come up with some creative designs to hook for the show. You have almost two years to complete a jungle themed rug!

Just a reminder that the New York State Sheep and Wool Festival is next weekend, October 15 and 16, 2016 at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, New York. This is a fabulous festival for all fiber enthusiasts. Judy Warasila's original rug, When Pigs Fly, won first place at the Peconic Ruggers Rug Show this past weekend at Hallockville.
