I’m starting a high risk, very tactical funeral escort service and would appreciate some gear recommendations. Obviously a body cam, as many cuffs as I can carry, and a cool name like Dimensional Enforcement Agency (DEA) is required. Also I’m a felon so what could I carry that looks exactly like a Glock 17 so people know how dangerous my job is?

I was thinking about the various challenges the public and law enforcement have when interacting which each other. Specifically the tension between citizen fatality (particularly when a situation was misjudged) and the officers equipment, to making split second decisions, and need to protect their person.
Focusing on non-lethal vs lethal weapons an officer usually had on hand, tazer v. gun. Despite all the training an officer must go through, there still is this ... gap? ... when the officer makes a split second decision to a unholster they may grab the gun when the tazer might have been the ..read more

I'm trying to get my mother in law a retirement gift or two as she is retiring from the border patrol after 20 plus years.
She's been working the night shift for the last 20 years and I think it's only fitting to get her a Maglite flashlight (the big 2-3 D cell battery kind, with the mount to put in her truck, she loves camping).
I'm trying to find a phrase that seems fitting to etch on the flashlight. She jokes that in border patrol that they are experts at "hide and seek".
Here are the following suggested sketches from AI:
"20 Years: Master of the Borderland Hide and Seek"
"20 Years of Hid ..read more

This was the case where the officer fired a rifle in a store to stop a suspect, and one of the rounds skipped off the ground and killed a 14 year old bystander through a wall.

The agency I work for, roughly 320 commissioned, utilizes a software system to track use of forces. It is tracked in a case report and a use of force report. As of 4/15 we had roughly 87%
Our current system for review of uses of force is the subject officers direct supervisor writing the majority of whether they believe the officers use of force was within policy and state law, with concurrence (2nd review) at the next supervisor in the same chain of command.
If there is any possible policy or legal issue that comes up, that same supervisor is then tasked with investigating their own subordin ..read more

I recently received a delivery confirmation email from Fedex from China to Baltimore. The problem is that I do not live in Baltimore and have never ordered any packages from China. The email is legit from fedex, I have a legit tracking number that I can look up independently of the email. I'm not sure what to do about it.
Is this something that I can ignore or should I contact the police about it?
