Almost 230 trainee detectives attested at Police Now’s national academy

The largest cohort ever recruited onto Police Now’s National Detective Programme was attested at its training academy this morning (Monday 18th March) – and includes its very first Counter Terrorism Policing stream.

Police Now officer and Home Secretary discuss neighbourhood policing

Police Constable Amelia Thorne met Home Secretary James Cleverly during his recent visit to Southend Police Station. Amelia accompanied him on a patrol of Warrior Square, an area which has previously been known for anti-social behaviour and knife crime but has seen significant reduction in crime in recent years.

Police Now officers receive bravery award for removing loaded firearm from the streets of Birmingham

Police Sergeant Akeel Akhtar and Police Constable Aikam Hundal were presented with bravery awards last week for successfully detaining an individual in Birmingham and removing a loaded firearm from his possession. They were presented at the West Midlands Police Federation Bravery Awards.
