When I was a teenager, I borrowed a VHS of Hitchcock’s Psycho from my library on a whim.
I expected it to be corny and not scary, simply because it was so old that it in was black & white. I couldn’t really imagine a b&w movie being scary.
I was wrong. It scared the shit out of me.
What are some classic scary movies that still hold up today in terms of being genuinely frightening?
Let’s set the range to anything before 1970. Doesn’t need to be in black and white.
