Well… Happy New Year!! This 2021 is certainly starting out with both good and bad. GALLERY C3 UPDATE: Two receptions STILL planned for Friday, February 5th, and March 5th. However, because of Gov. Coopers’ ongoing lockdowns/curfews, THIS Friday’s event is not an opening. It’s a Gallery Walk Through from 7-9pm and they’re limiting numbers. Don’t expect it to be packed, but I will definitely be there the entire time… maybe buying a drink at ALCHEMY restaurant overflow space… to let others see the show. (It’s going to be a great one!!) Note that I’ll update my social media/website as things cha ..read more

A cool thing about my glass is the multiple composites can be rearranged. Whether tabletop or the wall-mounted works, I love to encourage collectors to rearrange them in their own spaces. (Of course, many want them exactly as they saw before buying. And, I provide wall templates to get the original installation… as well as give them individual paper templates for changing it up.)   Here’s Soft Whispers, a wall-mounted arrangement for Mitchell Kearney Photography shoot last month.   Above is the same piece, Soft Whispers, in a different arrangement (with different light) I shot in ..read more

Earlier in 2020, I was thrilled to have been awarded a City of Charlotte Urban Planning Creative Placemaking Project Grant for an idea I’d had for some time… to transform part of my Plaza Shamrock neighborhood working closely with Garinger HS teens, Plaza Shamrock Neighborhood Assoc., and the Get Ready for Jesus Community Church. Then, COVID-19 hit all of us like a brick upside the head. Although I did lose some contracts/projects, and everything changed, I have so much to be thankful for! For this particular project, I tried to wait out “the COVID”. Unfortunately, my big plans to work with Ga ..read more

Since 2006, I’ve been fortunate enough to have multiple artist residencies… including two at McColl Center for Art + Innovation. Just like artists, these non-profits have taken a HUGE loss over COVID-19. Purchasing my water-inspired glass and paintings through Artsy right now continues to support their work and mine! This is pic of all six wall mounted water glass rounds from Soft Memories sets. (Each set of three is $500.) In 2019, I was the Atrium Health AiR at McColl Center. Was blessed to have the funds and space to work on my own water-inspired art… and work with teens and Mercy Hospital ..read more

Not a secret that I’m an Uber-conservative follower of Christ. I love art and people. First, I love the Lord. For years, I’ve shared my beliefs with others… more often was face to face. Since I came out publicly (as conservative Christian) in 2007, the Lord has worked on me… especially since 2014. At my core, I haven’t changed. Still a sinner. Ironically, I’m a better person today… living for God. (Still fall woefully short. Two of my favorite sources for preaching the Bible are Sovereign Grace Presbyterian Church — our church in Charlotte, NC — and John MacArthur of Grace to You.) Been a Patr ..read more
