It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to everyone in the reading and writing community. After so many years of trying to earn a living above the poverty line, I am finally putting my writing ambitions to bed. This was a passion project for me, but because I wanted to give it the respect it deserved with professional production processes, it became a very expensive passion project. This doesn’t mean that other authors can’t earn a living doing what they love. It just means I can’t. When I took a step back and considered that I had earned an Arts degree, an Associate Degree of Creative Wri ..read more

July Freebie: The Vampire Covenant Epilogue

I’m pretty excited about July. It’s usually a boring month, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it exciting! I’m going all out to put the epilogue to The Vampire’s Covenant into as many readers’ hands as possible. Only a few of you have read it, and that makes me very sad, because Evie and Kaden get up to some shit when they leave the coven. Here is the blurb: Kaden needs to bond their souls before it’s too late. But the danger is over. Isn’t it? How could he know another enemy is waiting for them? He’s too focused on being Evie’s fiancé—on being normal. What could happen to a vampire demon a ..read more

Review: Adelaide’s Fate by G. Bailey
Dark Love Stories - Love stories for busy women.

This paranormal reverse harem by G. Bailey has a slow-moving plot that follows Adelaide’s realization she is not who she thinks she is. Adelaide has dropped out of university because of a family tragedy. Her parents were killed, and she’s been left to take care of her teenage sister, Sophie. I couldn’t help but fall in love with her little sister. The whole scenario made me think back to my own time when I was in university and I needed to go home to a family crippled with trauma. It was heartbreaking, and that is how it is for Adelaide. Want more paranormal romance reviews? A heroine you can ..read more

Review: The Cursed Prince by Teresa Roman

Reading this story feels like snuggling underneath a warm blanket on a cold winter night. It feels so right and comfortable, you find yourself figuratively cuddling up to the hero. You breathe deeply when he kisses her. Yes, this is how you want it to be. Image by Pexels from Pixabay Want more paranormal romance reviews? But the blanket is ripped away, and you’re sitting there in the nudie, without your blanket, dreaming about a book boyfriend that is no more. The Cursed Prince is wonderfully written, and I’m not just saying that. The characters come to life on the page. But I’m disappointed ..read more

You’d think a sheltered well-brought up girl like me would know better than to hold a party of smut and naughty pleasures, but I’m breaking out! I’ve invited two awesome writers, Lila Mina and Amelia Oliver to cause as much havoc as they can to make the week’s problems fade away. Get the kids into bed and tell hubby he needs to do the washing up and come on down to the Facebook reader group to see Lila and Amelia! Review: His Haunting Kiss by Heather Marie Adkins

This steamy paranormal romance about a psychic who meets a ghost and falls in love starts slowly with the phrase: Boston Kane didn’t believe in ghosts–until the dead started talking to her. The book is part of a box set. And this was the first book in the set. It is well written, but when I didn’t meet the hero within the first ten chapters, I began to think I’d been duped. I wondered whether I was wasting my time. At about chapter ten, the hero appears, and it is worth the wait. Image by Alexas_Fotos from Pixabay Want more paranormal romance reviews? Sadie Moss’s Wolf Hunted is a reverse harem wolf shifter paranormal, which starts out with a girl who has been made to believe she is sick, and she gets caught up with a band of rogue wolf shifters. Image by Andrea Bohl from Pixabay Want more paranormal romance reviews? The girl who claims her courage Alexis or Scrubbs, as her men call her, has been made to believe that she is suffering from an illness called Speyer’s Syndrome, which is an autoimmune disease that affects the facial and mouth muscles. I guess that would make it hard to eat and speak. But she doesn’t have this disease at all. S ..read more
