Already it has been almost 1 year ago, since I last visited this “must-visit” restaurant when in Paris. While I do love all new fusion style restaurants and can even appreciate the molecular side of all famous restaurants, you also need to have understanding and appreciation of any classic French restaurant! And what better place to eat than at a place that has had 1 Michelin star for over 100 years (!). And is in the middle of Paris as well… With a love for classics, both in food as in styling, this place is just amazing and brings you back 40-50-60 years, just such a treat. So what did we ea ..read more

One of the hottest places in Barcelona! There is a waiting list, or you can simply wait outside in a cue of locals mixed with tourists. It is worth the wait for sure… Just try to avoid the busy times and the typical tourist eating hours It is a big place, and we were surprised by the enormity of it all, not expecting that from the outside. There are also much more locals or at least Spanish people here than expected. The prices are high, simple as that, 4x more than a normal tapas bar in BCN and 8x more than outside BCN… I still recommend this place without a doubt, as I hate all standard (ta ..read more

Reminiscing on my travels of the past year(s), thinking on all the fun places I have visited. Understanding I am one of the lucky ones in this world. Looking outside now, at the grey weather and the +1 year celebration of lock downs and closed restaurants… Boy am I counting down the days! Also, the this is the name of the restaurant… not the score, just so that you know this upfront…hahaha So last year, in February 2020 I was still on the world exploration tour, visiting Australia and NZ, but also one of my favorite countries in the world: Philippines and the capital Manila.. Merry XMAS to all !!! As I am writing this on Xmas day 2020, 18 months after the visit…. Sorry for not living up to my promise to post more often… let me try again in 2021 Where to start? I have had this one up my sleeve for over a year now. Was here in August 2019 and I am still enjoying this dinner and amazing night out in my thoughts. By far, the best experience in my lifetime so far. This hidden gem, with amazing chef and co-owner Pablo Gonzalez just blew my mind! Having 1 (*) since 2010, they fully deserved a 2nd (**) in 2017. If it was up to me, they would get a 3rd (***) as well. Wow ..read more

Hey Hey, guess who’s back…??!! After almost 6 months of Corona pause, some time for reflection and rethinking where to go with my blog, I came to the conclusion I could not miss you guys I have had many requests about why I was this quiet, still having hundreds of restaurants I visited before corona up my sleeve? I think I just needed a short break and focus on my day-job as well… But as I secretly managed to go on a quick 6 day trip to the Amalfi coast last month, I have found some places I just had to share online! So I went to the place that might have had the best terrace view IN MY LIFE ..read more
