Pickleball has been an easy way for me to get in more outdoor time this winter. I try to spend at least 15-20 minutes outside, even if it’s just in five minute increments. Scheduling outdoor activities I look forward to, like my Friday pickleball class, has been a great way to motivate me to spend more time outside and keep me accountable! I’ve also met a few great friends playing, and my skills have improved quite a bit since last fall. I’m hoping to join our club’s pickleball team when signups reopen so I can start playing matches against other local teams. If you haven’t picked up picklebal ..read more

We had a great week– one of those weeks where I just thank my lucky stars and feel grateful for everything.
LAST WEEK’S WIN: I went out with a few of my neighbors last week. We are so lucky for our street. When we moved here, we were the youngest couple and over the course of the past few weeks there was a lot of turnover and now we have a bunch of families with young children. Our kids are so lucky to have each other– and the parents too! It was so nice going out without kids or husbands.
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: It’s almost time to switch over my closet to warm weather clothes. Honestly, it’s ..read more

I only somewhat recently invested in my first designer bag. They’re definitely extravagant purchases and not totally necessary. Is my life better because I have a designer bag (or two), no. But with that said, I really do enjoy my two handbags. Just prefacing this post with that, because I recognize it’s not an everyday purchase or life or death
I think I made pretty “smart” choices for the two bags I have purchased. They each really fit into my everyday life and so I end up getting a lot of use out of both of them. I love that they are great for special occasions and also work for normal life ..read more

It’s been over a YEAR since I put together this post about finding my personal style. I think I’m finally starting to feel better about my personal style…. Not that I feel like I have great style, lol, but I really feel comfortable with what I’m wearing and that alone is a huge win. I don’t open my closet and hate everything; that’s another win.
I thought I’d do a follow up with some more inspiration that’s representative of where I see my personal style evolving to right now. Plus some basics to create the looks.
(Did my best to find real sources for the photos, but some I couldn’t trace!)

Have you been following my jeans try-on situation? Last month I shared a jeans try-on on Instagram stories, although I usually hate trying jeans on, this has been a surprisingly fun experiment trying out new brands and styles. I saved a highlight to my IG story in case you want to catch up. So far these are my top 3 favorite jeans I bought!
Gap High Rise Cheeky Straight Jeans with Washwell
I think these jeans are exactly what I’ve been looking for – comfortable, high-rise, and a straight leg that hits at the ankle. They have a button fly, are stiff with a hint of stretch, and fi ..read more

LAST WEEK’S WIN: How can I choose?! My cup overflowed last week. Lots of fun with Jack. A new, great schedule for us. Time with friends. Hours and hours outside. The most fun pickleball lesson we’ve had to date. A spontaneous sleepover with our nieces. (I even saw and met some celebrities?!) It was just a fun week!
THIS WEEK’S GOAL: I don’t even know if I have one specific thing I want to work towards or focus on this week. More than anything, I’d love to just keep on chugging along on my various things. I am in a good groove and rhythm right now so maintaining that would be a big win.

Last year was Jack’s first Easter, and we spent the weekend hosting friends and family at our house. I put together a small Easter basket for Jack, and it was a perfectly low-key weekend that left me so content! Maybe other people experience this too, but I have a tendency to build very high expectations in my head for holidays, and I can end up disappointed when reality doesn’t meet expectations. I’m starting to get better at not setting expectations and enjoying things as they come – I felt like last Easter was a great reminder that remaining present is what makes a holiday memorable!

This week. I don’t know what to say other than to say it feels like my internal clouds have cleared a little bit? It’s a mix of a few things: our trip away, having a week dedicated to grunt work for my business and the house, a ton of fun with Jack, a lot of time outside, getting into a great groove with working out, finding pockets of time for my hobbies. Maybe even just turning the calendar over to March. Just a bit of a fresh start.
LAST WEEK’S WIN: The snow day we had was a blast. I had a ton of work to catch up on, but everything for Jack was canceled and I had no choice but to embrace th ..read more

Back with another week of outfits! I was kind of hoping it would be a more exciting week of outfits with our trip. But it ended up being a super rainy and very cold few days, so nope! Nothing too exciting. I will say, I was so comfortable and warm, despite the weather so overall the outfits were a big win for me.
LAST WEEK’S WIN: Obviously Copenhagen was a highlight, but I’ll save the details for another post. I’d say the win, was having a great few days just Mike and me and being okay with leaving Jack. Mike and I had the best time, but I think Jack might have had even more fun. He hung out w ..read more
