Dear KT Miniatures Customers
Thank you for your custom and friendship this year, it has been a pleasure as always dealing with you all and thank you for so many fascinating and wonderful conversations we have had throughout these months. It never ceases to amaze me how the world of dolls houses and miniatures can bring together so many people from all walks of life.
Although there have been changes to KT Miniatures' website and the selling pages are now slimmed down into one, I look forward to helping more beautiful little treasures find their way into new homes in the forthcoming year ..read more

As life pulls me in different directions now after nearly 27 years of trading, it was always inevitable that KT Miniatures was going to have to adapt to cope with those changes.
Changes To Selling Pages On The Website
So, after much pondering and taking all factors into account, I have greatly downsized the selling sections on the website. You will find all original room pages, garden, doll and restoration pages have been replaced by one simple Antique & Vintage page. The new search categories are based on the old page names, and I will be focussing more on special or unusua ..read more

Well, at last the Old Potting Shed Workshop took place last Saturday and judging by the lovely emails I have had since, it was a great success. It felt so good to be back creating once again in a classroom environment! The setting of the small barn at Thame Barns Centre (Oxfordshire) was just lovely, so I am planning on running all future workshops from there if possible. My old mate Robin Britton, who is now long retired but who used to be a professional dollmaker and workshop colleague, dropped by during the day which was nice.
It was a hot and humid day, so windows and doors we ..read more

At long last, after three years of waiting, the much cancelled Old Potting Shed Workshop is taking place at Thame Barns Centre in Oxfordshire. This should have taken place back in 2020, but due to Covid and then the sad permanent closure of Denman College, it has taken until now to finally re-arrange.
With mock elements such as the stone walls, flagstone flooring, wooden panelling and rusty tin roofing, all made from recycled materials...the techniques learnt can easily be adapted to refurbishing dolls houses too.
The kits are ready and I very much look forward to ..read more

What a month June has been….not a great one here, hence KT Miniatures website has been static, with no new stock listed for the last three weeks at least. Not only have I been laid low with a beast of a bug since the beginning of June, I also had a split water tank up in loft, so water leaking through the light fitting on my landing, directly above my brand new kitchen...scary!!! However, it has all now been mended and hopefully so am I, so life is a little calmer…(I will say it quietly as I don’t want to tempt providence).
Meanwhile, I am pleased to say that I will be having a sta ..read more

I fell in love with this little carved wooden dog, he was so beautifully made, but had no idea of the maker.
This little dog had clearly been created by a highly skilled person.
The painting and patina is exquisite too. So I was not surprised that he was snapped up as soon as I put him up for sale...and I am pleased to say that he is going to a very good home.
Meanwhile, I would like to thank Rosemary for kindly getting in touch, who saw the little dog on my website, and informed me that it had been made by the workshops of Brockenhurst in the 1930s. She said that he ..read more

In recent days two items were instantly snapped up as soon as they went up for sale on KT Miniatures website. Unsurprisingly really as they were both rare and very special pieces, plus remarkably they were both in fantastic condition! They are now in situ in their new separate homes, but I thought I would feature them on here as they are rarely seen.
c1930s Pit-a-Pat "Easywork Dresser"
How so very "1930s" this piece is, made by Pit-a-Pat and in original condition. It was described in a 1930s Pit-a-Pat advert as being an "Easywork Dresser", many of us used to ..read more
