CBS has officially ordered a new daytime soap titled The Gates. The drama series follows the lives of a wealthy Black family in a posh, gated community and will launch January 2025. Paramount+ has renewed Star Trek: Strange New Worlds for a fourth season. The renewal comes ahead of the third season. CBS has renewed S.W.A.T. for an eighth season. The news comes as a surprise as season seven was previously billed as the final season, following the initial cancellation after season six.
