What do you do when it gets the evening and you are not sure in which mood are you?

So as the title says, I’m on my first solo last day (leaving tomorrow) and the other days were great, met some locals and had a great roommate. Today the locals can’t hang, my roommate left and I’m exhausted. It’s 19:35 and I’m having dinner at the hostel alone and I’m not sure what to do. I want to rest but at the same time it feels like a waste of time, as if my body wants one thing my mind is against that. In those cases what do you do? submitted by /u/trvxxx [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello, This is reposted from r/askturkey because I need help quick. Context: I am solo and renting a car in a few days and i have 12 hours left to cancel for a refund if needed. Hotels are non refundable, and I want to visit these places regardless of how I travel there. A quick response is appreciated. I will be renting a car from Antalya to Denzli, Bodrum, and Izmir before dropping it at the airport and returning home. I thought this was going to be easier to go from city to city until I arrived in Istanbul and realized how chaotic the traffic is. My questions are: Is driving in this count ..read more

Hi all, I’ve spent much of the past 2-3 years in Taiwan (2020-2022) and SE Asia (2022-2023), the latter which included 3 months in Malaysia and a year in Bangkok on an ED visa. I also stayed for a month in the Philippines (only Manila and northern Luzon). While Vietnam and some other places are on my list, my next trip I am thinking of seeing more of Japan (last time I went was 2019) or South Korea (never been). I’ll start off with SK since it’ll be my first time if I choose to go there. Obviously there’s Seoul, but I’m also interested in Jeju Island, and maybe another city like Busan or Daeg ..read more

Hi everyone! I am currently planning my trip to the Balkans, but I am a bit worried regarding transportation. I have a few routes that I am particularly worried about, and I was wondering if any of you could help me out! So heres goes: - On the 12th of September, I will be traveling from Korenica to Split, to then go to spend the night in Hvar. As the last ferry leaves around 19h30, I am worried that there might not be enough places on the bus the day of my departure - On the 15th of September, I will be traveling from Split to Mostar. As I do not want to arrive when dark, I am a bit worried ..read more

Hey guys, i will be in Australia with WHV in december for the first time. I was thinking about camping in designed areas with a simple tent and buying / renting a bycicle to move around, i'm planning to stay around Perth , through the WC and the southern parth (let's say in the part beetween Albany and Perth). My goal is to save money and work here, while casually moving around and enjoying nature. Do you think this may be a good idea? Is it legal to place a tent during the night in the areas you can find for example in the "CamperMate" App? Is it dangerous? Will i have any trouble with dange ..read more

Peru - How much gratuity should I give my travel guide and driver?

I’m currently in Peru on a solo 5 Day Machu Picchu Tour, Rainbow Mountain and various site tour. I have 1 guide and 1 driver who have been so kind, especially the guide. This package was $1,400 including hotels, transportation in Peru, a few meals and airport transfers. The guide knows the history and is very knowledgeable. How much should I give them in gratuity? I’d like to pay them in US dollars. They guide will received more than the driver of course, but I’m not sure what amount is appropriate for either. Thanks for any help and guidance! submitted by /u/Significant_Meal_308 [visit redd ..read more

My flight to Colombia is in a few hours and I'm unable to fill up the Check-Mig form as my country "Antigua and Barbuda" is not on the list. It is absurd as there is no visa required for Antiguan citizens but still the country name is not showing up on the Check-Mig form link. Can someone please help? Hey guys, I hope you’re all well! Im looking for some advice/opinions/previous experiences to get some guidance if possible. I’ve been travelling Thailand, Laos and Vietnam for 3 months with some mates, throughout this time I felt myself needing my own space pretty frequently as I found being with the same people all the time quite restricting in terms of my own personal development and also just quite draining. I’ve had social anxiety and depressive episodes over the last 5 years, so during this trip I really want to push myself to meet new people and form connections. I’ve found that travel ..read more
