So as the title says, I’m on my first solo last day (leaving tomorrow) and the other days were great, met some locals and had a great roommate. Hi all, I’ve spent much of the past 2-3 years in Taiwan (2020-2022) and SE Asia (2022-2023), the latter which included 3 months in Malaysia and a year in Bangkok on an ED visa. I also stayed for a month in the Philippines (only Manila and northern Luzon). While Vietnam and some other places are on my list, my next trip I am thinking of seeing more of Japan (last time I went was 2019) or South Korea (never been). I’m currently in Peru on a solo 5 Day Machu Picchu Tour, Rainbow Mountain and various site tour. I have 1 guide and 1 driver who have been so kind, especially the guide. This package was $1,400 including hotels, transportation in Peru, a few meals and airport transfers. The guide knows the history and is very knowledgeable. How much should I give them in gratuity?
