Obviously referring to post-hardcore in the Dischord records sense, not the Hot Topic sense here. Anyway they’re closely intertwined. Post-hardcore has its roots in early 1980s bands who could move among both hardcore punk and post-punk scenes. This would include stuff like Mission of Burma, the Proletariat, and Hüsker Dü at least to some extent.
