This led is the third in a series, it is also the only one showing internal damage. I deduct because of this the others are not working. All have 5 volts running to them. I would like to replace it with a new one but dont know what model to use. I dont see any obvious damage to the board. - how critical is it to use the exact same model? (Provided I figure out the correct specs and get one similar?) - Will leaving the board like this possibly caus issues? - Would you suggest taking off this LED and replacing it with the LED at the end of the series to minimize the impact? - how fragile ar ..read more

I run a lego youtube channel and have 3-4 Led Panels running while I film - currently they are plugged into various phone chargers I have found - but some of them do not get enough power for full brightness and am I trying to tidy up the mess of wires.
Lights are USB 5v/2a 10w (66leds)
These or similar
USB hubs I am looking at are generally 7ports 12v/3a powered - although I noticed some say 36w (which wouldn't add up to my 40w full power?)

example 2
example 3
The question is will a powered USB hub run these lights - and what specs do I need?
the idea with the hub is that also m ..read more

Hey all,
I'm adding some RGB strips into my apartment and I got few of these WiFi RGBIC modules. First RGBIC strip was connected and works perfectly, so I went on and ordered some 5pin connectors so that I can connect rest of RGBIC strip to these WiFi modules.
Unfortunately, I ordered wrong 5pin connector, it's smaller than original one and I'm having really hard time finding correct connector. I've went all over google, youtube, reddit, aliexpress to find same connector I need, but I'm just too dumb to find correct one (at least looking at width specs).
Looking at the photo, would any of ..read more

This is a pretty simple board to control the LEDs in a "bubble light". What I'm assuming are resistors let out the magic smoke. I have a pretty basic understanding of electronics (I'm currently working on learning more) my mother came to me looking for a solution,
So I'm curious if anyone can help, if they are resistors to control the colors or brightness of the LEDs. If I'm correct (I believe that I am but will definitely admit if I'm not)
But if I am correct I don't know if anyone can tell what size I would need to replace the burnt ones.
The board takes 12v directly from a power supply ..read more

Hello everyone, I am trying to recreate this ceiling lamp that I saw a while ago and need your help in finding the correct LED for the project. The basic idea is to „hide“ a small light source in a wine cork and attach it to a flexible cable that leads to a base. My problem is that i don‘t know what type of led is suited for this application. I would guess something fairly low power is needed so i don’t get any problems with overheating. In addition it needs to be small (< 18 mm diameter) to fit inside the hole. Can you point me to some, ideally warm white, suitable options?
P.S. Excu ..read more

Made this 12” infinity cube as a project. Took about a month and some change. Very happy with the end result. It is all fully 3D printed and designed by me including the stand. The model is public :
